Base Registries


Base Registries, in accordance with the European definition of the European Interoperability Framework (EIF 2.0), are "reliable sources of basic information on data such as persons, companies, vehicles, licenses, buildings, locations and roads", are "authentic and valid, and constitute, separately or in combination, a cornerstone of public services ". Base Registries include the Tax Registry, the General Commercial Registry (GEMD), the Citizens' Registry, the police IDs or the Registry of Residence Permits and the Special Identity Cards for expatriates for third country citizens, the Social Security Registry, the National Property Registry of Roads and Numbers, the Registry of General Government Bodies and Services, the Registry of Driving Licenses and the Registry of Car Traffic Licenses.
